HOW IT WORKS
NOTE; The information contained herein is subject to change without notice.
The free turning D-Locknut is threaded into the bolt. With a wrench, torque the slitted nut to your required force. By applying torque to the locking nut, the radial force compresses sections of the slitted nut, wedging its threads with the bolt threads. This deflection produces a strong 360 deg. mechanical connection and does not damage or mar the threads of the bolt. To remove the D-Locknut, first loosen the locking nut approximately 3/4 of a turn and then loosen the slitted nut.
MATERIAL: Stainless steel 303
D-locknut offers high degree of locking in any position on a threaded bolt or shaft regardless of its clamping load.
